Oro Fino

New mines for a new world

Royal Road Minerals

The Oro Fino Gold and Silver project is located in Nicaragua’s North Caribbean Coast Autonomous region

The Oro Fino Gold and Silver project is located within the ‘Golden Triangle’, 20km east of the historical gold-copper La Luz Mine and approximately 25km southwest of the former Rosita copper-gold mine.

The Project forms a part of the Company's 50-50 Strategic-Alliance agreement with Hemco Mineros Nicaragua (a subsidiary of Colombia’s Grupo Mineros S.A. MINEROS:CB).

Royal Road’s exploration team identified the Oro Fino project during reconnaissance follow-up of historical gold values collected from artisanal mining operations within the area.

The geology at Oro Fino consists primarily of Palaeogene age rhyolitic pyroclastic rocks (fine tuffs-lapilli tuffs) which are underlain by rhyodacitic domes and andesitic flows. Pyroclastic rocks are interpreted to have formed as a result of dome collapse. Hydrothermal alteration is observed across a 4km2 area, mainly consisting of illite-argillic assemblages and silicification in the interpreted upper parts of the system. Gold is associated with pyrite and low-temperature quartz veins, which appear to be hosted in N-NE dipping coarse tuffs and lapilli tuffs possibly acting as a ‘permeable horizon’.

Notable historical intercepts from chip channel samples include;

188.5 ppm Gold & 78.1 ppm Silver across 2 meters

51.75 ppm Gold & 64.6 ppm Silver across 1.5 meters

33.36 ppm Gold & 11.6 ppm Silver across 1.45 meters

Geological mapping and sampling campaigns are currently underway with reconnaissance drilling planned for the end of 2021.
