Mauricio is a business administrator and Master's candidate in Sustainability with more than 20 years of experience managing relationships with local communities, industry associations, and public and private sector stakeholders. Over the past 15 years in the extractive industry, he has led social performance initiatives supporting land access, environmental permitting, exploration, and project development across several of Colombia's key resource regions, including Casanare, Caquetá, Arauca, Córdoba, Putumayo, and Antioquia.
He has extensive expertise in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies within complex social and operating environments. His experience includes building long-term partnerships, strengthening community relationships, and delivering social performance programmes that support sustainable project development and operational continuity.
